All sessions of the symposium will be held in the ballroom and meeting rooms at the Ritz-Carlton.

Symposium is limited to 300 participants.

COST:








$495.00

The $495.00 registration fee includes:

1 ) Monday night reception;

2 ) Continental breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday, and lunch on Tuesday;

3 ) Coffee/tea/soda/water service for the duration of the symposium.

CANCELLATION:



  • Written requests for cancellation received by April 20, 2011 will be refunded 90% of the registration fee paid.
  • Written requests for cancellation received after April 20, 2011 but before May 14, 2011 will be refunded 50% of the registration fee paid.
  • No refunds will be issued for written cancellation requests received after May 14, 2011.

Media Policies/Guidelines

  • The symposium is open to representatives of print and online media.
  • No cameras or other recording devices will be allowed during the symposium.
  • Media will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A portion of the symposium sessions.
  • Media who wish to attend the pre-symposium webinar should do so by registering online.
  • Media who wish to attend the symposium must pre-register by contacting Karina Wright at khw@mitre.org or 703/983-6125. Please do not use the general symposium registration. Because attendance at the symposium is limited to 300, you are encouraged to pre-register as soon as possible and no later than May 27, 2011.
  • Upon arrival at the symposium, all media should proceed to the Media Table with their credentials. Media will be issued a press badge and media kit. Press badges must be worn at all times during the symposium.

A room block has been established at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner for the Aviation Fatigue Research Roadmap Symposium at the government per diem rate of $211.00.  The room block will be open until Friday, May 13, 2011

Public Transportation

Metrorail and Buses

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority serves the greater DC metropolitan area including Washington, DC and parts of Maryland and Virginia with bus and rail service. Their site offers route maps and a trip planner.

The Smithsonian Institution is located in Washington, DC and includes galleries, museums, and the National Zoo. The museums and zoo are open every day except Christmas and the hours may be found here.

The National Geographic Museum is also located in Washington, DC and is open from 9 AM to 5 PM every day except Christmas.
